Happy New Year
A familiar saying goes something like this, a new YEAR- a new YOU. Well, now is a good time to start making changes that will allow you a longer, stronger, happier year ahead- and life! We here at Corbett Family Chiropractic can help!
According to Chinese zodiac, 2018 is the ‘Year of the Dog’. This year we will see emphasis on the value of dialogue and this will be a good year for lifestyle changes.
Despite becoming a bit “trendy” in 2017, Mindfulness is my word for 2018. Be purposeful with your actions. Be purposeful with your words. As I teach my children, say what you mean and mean what you say.
So what does this really mean?
Be mindful in your life…
When you are driving your car, pay attention to your surroundings. Accidents happen when someone loses focus.
When you are using the shovel to clear the driveway, take your time and shovel correctly. Need tips? Just ask and I will post something for you.
When you are with others, really listen. It takes a lot of courage for most people to open up. Remember the saying, two ears one mouth- use them proportionately?
There are only 24 hour hours in the day… or 86400 seconds. Fill those with good quality sleep, healthy eating, at least 20 minutes of activity each day (150 minutes per week), and let go of the “stuff” that wastes our precious time.
Teach, learn, experience, rest and enjoy this year. It will fill your spirit and no doubt will have impact on those around you!
