Massage Therapy is the manipulation of the body’s soft tissues, such as muscles, tendons, ligaments, joints, and connective tissue. Massage Therapy is a clinically-oriented healthcare option provided by a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT).
Massage Therapy is used for both acute and chronic conditions and can help alleviate musculoskeletal disorders associated with everyday stress, muscular overuse, and many persistent pain syndromes.
Registered Massage Therapists work with a wide variety of clients in the treatment of soft tissue and joint issues related to illness, injury, rehabilitation, and disability.

Some insurance companies may require a referral (prescription) from a Medical Doctor. Check your benefit plan or talk to your plan’s administrator. In some cases Massage Therapy is covered by automobile insurance companies (motor-vehicle accident) or Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) for workplace injuries.
Your First Appointment
Your first visit is an assessment of your condition and complaints. You will complete a confidential health history as part of this process. Your Registered Massage Therapist will assess your individual needs and develop a treatment plan especially for you. A treatment plan involves setting realistic goals for treatment and discussing possible responses to treatment.
